So our Soccer trip is coming to an end, a part of me is sad and part of me is screaming and jumping for joy!! The smile's and laughter we as a family has had the last 10 weeks has been a blast, but as Travis says "finally, I can sleep in on my day off" and he is right..(sorta, sorry we still have 2 kids!)
Every saturday morning we have been up at 5:30 am so we can get breakfast and head off to the fields by 7 am... yep thats right 7 am, well the goals don't put themselves up!! actually we could be there at 8 but if something happend we had time to get it fixed, that and the 3 dads found they like a nice warm breakfast from the little resturant around the corner. The 1st game starts at 9 am and the last game ends at noon and we get loaded up in the van and head home..
What am I gonna do with free time, ha ha remember I have 2 kids!!! school is out in a few weeks, different summer camps for Gavin and lots of soccer practices for Gavin, Gavin moves up to the next age bracket in our leauge, so he is going to spend LOTS of time working on his game and getting more sure of himself.. Carley is wanting to play but we are waiting for her to get a little older but she to will be practicing with the boys!!
So as we settle in to a "new" routine it reminds me of it's like when you come home from a vacation, the laundry, putting things away, taking care of things that have been negleted.. first order of business is potty training Carley!!! then who knows what will happen, maybe getting ready for our next soccer adventure to start in August the week Gavin comes back from Camp Gilead!!
Till then, be safe and have fun
I love my family I do, but sometimes they do some funny things, so read along to see what happens, there is never a dull moment in the Burchard house....

1 Year and counting
So it has been 1 year since we moved to Ferndale and started our lives all over again. So many changes both good and bad, things I took granted no longer close and things I never expected became closer. Yes the move was a mixed blessing in so many ways.
It was like christmas morning on a GRAND SCALE when the HUGE moving truck backed into OUR driveway, for 7 months 97% of our belongings were in storage, so to have Travis open the back of the truck was like a HUGE weight taken off of my shoulders, our belongings, Gavin's toys, my scrapbooks and lots of memories got unloaded and placed into OUR home where we could add to them...
In 1 year you make lots of memories and meet new people, right away we found a new church, Thanks to my cousin and his wife, it was easy and we love it. We got Gavin settled into school and turns out OUR house is the HOUSE to play at, so Gavin made lots of friends, Travis's job was close and he was home by 5 and not tired from the LONG drive so we did lots of stuff. Summer happend and the kids and I went to the beach and the parks, shoot we even went to Canada, ok we played at a park that is on the Border and as long as we stayed in the park we didn't need passports, many picnic lunches with dad, picking fresh berries and apples was fun. We signed Gavin up for soccer and Travis was able to coach, something he never could do because of work, Carley and I joined 2 GREAT playgroups and the other moms opened their arms and wrapped our family into theirs.
Our Family has been blessed by moving here, however I do miss my old house and most of all, my friends we left. But I do see them and do talk to them, but it's just not the same...
